Jaguar C X16 is a killer of Porsche Cayman?
Over the past few years, Jaguar has accustomed us to some interesting innovations, and the new C X16 was not an exception!
Among the infinite number of new interesting products that will be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month, there will be another one, Jaguar C-X16. And, as many people think, Porsche have to worry on this occasion, because C-X16 is a direct competitor of Cayman.
In theory, Jaguar C X16 is a successor of E-Type, though much of it was rethought and redesigned.
C-X16 is a hybrid. Gasoline 3-liter V6 rated at 375 hp (created by analogy with the more powerful 5-liter engine that is installed on the XJ, XKR and XFR) works in tandem with an electric motor that adds another 95 “horses”. Moreover, this supplement is available on request! When a special signal lights up at the panel (indicating that the batteries are fully charged), you can press a button and get 10 seconds of “adrenaline” due to the additional torque (hello to F1!).
By the way, let’s say few words about dynamics. It is very good-looking. Fast 8-step “automatic machine» ZF, sensibly, “recycles” the engine power, so Jaguar C-X16 accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds. Maximum speed is 300 km / h. You must agree, it is not bad for a hybrid!
However, it is not only an award of an engine and ‘a box’. In the C-X16 is widely used aluminum and carbon fiber, so the vehicle curb weight is only 1,600 kg (60 pounds lighter than the XK). Aerodynamic of a sport car is an excellent thing either! In one word it is a stunning car in every way!
Likely Jaguar C-X16 will be available for sale at the end of the next year, the price in the UK will start with a rate of 55000.
