The slogan “Back to the Future” is so suitable for the new DeLorean!
DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) has released only one car in its history – DeLorean. The one, but which one! The only model showed up in the cult film “Back to the Future”, thus automatically became the dream of every second boy (in the late 80s – early 90s, I also dreamed of a fantasy vehicle of Dr. Emmett Brown).
Anyone who knows the subject, that the future of DMC was sad. I will not go into details (if you’re interested, details can be found in Wikipedia), but just in few years after production began, the company ceased to exist. read more »

If you think that Holden Hurricane is just another old junk, you are so wrong …
Concept Holden Hurricane (codenamed by RD 001) appeared long-ago in 1969, so what made us remember about it now? Firstly, despite the fact that the car did not become a serial you can safely assume the Australian classic (not like the Lancia Stratos, but still it is). Secondly, the “Hurricane” was so much ahead of its time (for example, carburetor installed on the concept went to the masses only in the late ’70s), that a number of ideas have been realized and are relevant today. Thirdly, the car has an interesting original design.

Dodge Challenger has always been among the most prominent muscle cars. This state of things has not been changed today.
Why do people love the Dodge Challenger? Most likely, because the car looks like a classic oil-car of 60-70s. This is one of the few cars that has kept the same spirit and that is especially nice, in a renewed SRT8 this spirit did not dissapear.
Even more gratifying, that retaining the most valuable of the classic Challenger, engineers managed to make the car “smarter” and even more “intelligent” (not to do any harm to the image).

In addition to the DC100, Land Rover has presented at Frankfurt and sportier version of the concept – DC100 Sport.
Just as the DC100, ideologically Land Rover DC100 Sport is receiver Defender. Novelty has quite sporty and aggressive design – sweeping lines, an open top and a bright yellow coloring (yellow ocher), and beckon to the safari. Without a doubt, Up! is a “pearl” of the stand of Volkswagen  at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This city car attracts the most attention. Nevertheless, the company VW brought not only this car. Among the shown concepts, there are other interesting cars, such as Buggy Up!

Frankfurt is not only the place where the automobile giants present their latest innovations and achievements. In fair amount on the famous “Forum” and demonstrates the work tuners of all kinds. Over the past few years, Jaguar has accustomed us to some interesting innovations, and the new C X16 was not an exception!
Among the infinite number of new interesting products that will be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month, there will be another one, Jaguar C-X16. And, as many people think, Porsche have to worry on this occasion, because C-X16 is a direct competitor of Cayman.
In theory, Jaguar C X16 is a successor of E-Type, though much of it was rethought and redesigned.
C-X16 is a hybrid. Gasoline 3-liter V6 rated at 375 hp (created by analogy with the more powerful 5-liter engine that is installed on the XJ, XKR and XFR) works in tandem with an electric motor that adds another 95 “horses”. Moreover, this supplement is available on request! When a special signal lights up at the panel (indicating that the batteries are fully charged), you can press a button and get 10 seconds of “adrenaline” due to the additional torque (hello to F1!). read more »

What is unique in such a car as Mazda RX-8 (or its predecessor, the RX-7)? That’s right, it is the unique rotary engine Renesis!  And now, there are rumors that later Mazda may refuse from Wankel engine (Felix Wankel is an inventor of the turbo rotary engine)!

The company “Mazda” began to engage rotary engine yet in the 60s of last century (the first engine was called the Type 10A). Since then, Japanese rotary installation seriously evolved. In particular many typical problems in the Wankel engine design were solved: emission of CO2 was brought in balance with rates of Euro-4 , fuel and oil consumption was reduced significantly (at times). At the same time main “trump cards” of similar design (the main of which is high production – the engine of 1.3 liter can produce 250 hp) have been preserved. read more »
